2022 Annual Report cover — a grid of Bauhaus-inspired icon tiles with the year built into the grid

Leanlab Education's 2022 annual report, designed inside the brand system I documented for them. It covers the year they finished moving from edtech incubator to full R&D lab.

Every tile on the cover is an icon from the Codesign Framework I built for Leanlab. They're Bauhaus-inspired marks, each one standing for a part of the codesign process, set in a grid with the year among them.

The bigger requirement was modularity. Leanlab wanted a campaign rather than a document that gets published once and filed, so every piece comes out cleanly and works somewhere else. The written sections stand alone as blog posts, quotes and statistics pull out as social collateral, and each spread holds up away from the pages around it.

The timeline is the clearest example. Explaining the move from accelerator to research lab had been a recurring headache, so "A Brief History" is laid out to go to a funder on its own and still tell the whole story.
