Case for Support · The Kansas City Beacon
A fundraising document for The Kansas City Beacon: who they are, the problem they exist to solve, their solution, what they've done, and what they're asking for.
Along with the design, I helped organize the argument into something coherent and concise, and researched up-to-date data they could use to back up their points, based on what they were telling me in our conversations.
It runs as a straight pitch: the problem, then the solution, then proof. The problem pages use sourced data like the 64% drop in Kansas journalists since 2005 and 2.5 newspapers lost a week nationally, each one charted. The solution pages answer with coverage areas and positioning, impact shows up as hard numbers, and the team and supporters pages close it out, all set in the brand system from their brand book.
